Welcome to My Homepage!
Lisa Dilling works on the use of climate-related
research in decision-making. Following on her PhD in biological oceanography from UC Santa Barbara, she immersed herself in climate
science policy in Washington, DC, serving as a program manager in the Climate and Global Change Program of the National Oceanic
and Atmospheric Administration. While in DC, she expanded NOAA's integrated program in carbon cycle science, and also helped to
initiate and manage a national interagency program to study the integrated carbon cycle that links together relevant research in
6 Federal agencies for the U.S. Global Change Research Program (now the U.S. Climate Change Science Program). Currently on leave
from NCAR, Lisa is now a Visiting Fellow at the University of Colorado, Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental
Sciences (CIRES), and studies the use of carbon cycle and climate-related information in decision-making and the process for
generating use-inspired research.
