NOAA Climate of 1999 – Annual Review
A "downloadable" recap of the climate of 1999 gathered by the US National Climatic Data Center. Includes detailed reports and images, monthly reports, and extreme events, as well as a national analysis of the United States weather.
Instituto Español de Oceanografía
IEO (Instituto Español de Oceanografía) is a public research organization which conducts oceanographic research and advises the Spanish government on oceanographic and fishing policies (in Spanish and English).
Climate-Ocean Regime Indices
Links to various climate-ocean regime indices developed or collected by staff at the Pacific Biological Station in Canada. Included are the Atmospheric Forcing Index, Pacific Circulation Index, Aleutian Low Pressure Index, and Fraser River flows. In English and French.
Instituto del Mar del Peru: IMARPE
IMARPE (Instituto del Mar del Peru) is a Peruvian Web site with information on climate satellite images, publications, and upcoming meetings (in Spanish only).
Joint Institute for the Study of the Atmosphere and Ocean
JISAO (Joint Institute for the Study of the Atmosphere and Ocean) is a joint insitute of NOAA and the University of Washington. If you click on "Science" you will find publications, impacts of El Niño on the Pacific Northwest, and numerous other interesting links.
Landsat 7 Gateway
Landsat-7, a satellite in operation since 1972, is used to acquire remotely sensed images of land surface and coastal regions. (Could be of use in ENSO impacts research.) Ordering data included on the site.
