Lead Authors' Meeting of the Intergovenmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)

Working Group 2

This month Linda Mearns, Kathleen Miller, and Paty Romero Lankao, attended the final Lead Authors' Meeting of the Intergovenmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Working Group 2 Fourth Assessment Report in Cape Town, South Africa. Working Group 2 covers the assessment of climate change impacts, adaptation, and vulnerability. Linda is a lead author of Chapter 2 (New Assessment Methodologies), Kathy of Chapter 3 (Fresh Water Resources) and Paty is the co-Convening Lead Author of Chapter 7 (Industry, Settlement, and Society). Other contributions of ISSE scientists to this effort include Susi Moser as Expert Reviewer of several chapters, and Claudia Tebaldi as Contributing Author for Chapter 2.
