Welcome!

The goal of the Workshop on Native American Climate Decision Making was to develop an agenda for application and research on climate change and environmental decision-making in Native communities. The workshop participants attempted to identify:

  • the major climate-change decision issues for environmental- and human-community management in Native communities;
  • the major barriers/obstacles to collaboration between environmental science and Native Communities and the strategies to overcome these barriers;
  • new methods to aid effective environmental decision-making in Native communities/lands

The workshop was held July 12-13, 2004 in the Mesa Lab Damon Room at the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colorado.
