ERRATUM: p. 3: In the first paragraph the rates of CO2 increase should read: "(based on the 1958-2006 Mauna Loa records, the rates of increase are rising, from a low of 0.16% y-1 in 1964 to a high of 0.75% y-1 in 1998). The current atmospheric CO2 concentration is about 380 ppmv and the rate of increase is expected to rise over the next few decades (Houghton, 2001)."
