Forum on Colorado Cities and Regions "Viewing the Past, Present, and Future from Satellites and the Computer Chip"

This Forum brings together leading experts in emerging technologies for mapping and analyzing patterns of urban growth. Remote sensing, geographic information system tools, and computer modeling of alternative growth futures support unique opportunities for shaping a regional, state, and national agenda for community and stability. Speakers will illustrate exciting new applications of these technologies to mapping and analysis of wildfire risk at the urban-wildland interface, cities and surrounding biodiversity patterns, comprehensive city planning, and collaborative problem solving and conflict resolution.
The Forum will begin at 9:00am, Monday, August 5, Foothills Laboratory, Room 1022 at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR).
